When Jonas dies after falling from his dorm room on the 10th floor, the police is quick to rule it a suicide, which leaves his girlfriend Maria heartbroken. But Maria quickly becomes obsessed with the idea that there was something else behind Jonas’ death. Driven by the question, “why?”, Maria moves into Jonas’ old room to search for answers. Her investigation leads her to the top of the housing’s insulated food chain, and she soon finds herself entangled in a web of corruption, systematic abuse and an elite that will do anything to keep its sinister doings within the four walls of the student housing.
